Most chewing gums are made using plastic and synthetic rubber - the ultimate single-use plastic. Swell use a natural chicle which is a tree sap harvested from the sapodilla tree in Central America.
Swell gum is of course sugar-free, but we go further. While other gums use cheap artificial sweeteners like aspartame or sorbitol, Swell uses xylitol which is a natural sweetener and is great at fighting plaque.
A core belief of Swell is that businesses need to give back to society beyond just paying their taxes. Being based in Sydney, Swell have an enormous connection to the ocean, and so it gives us great pleasure to direct 25% of our profits to marine conservation charities.
